Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen reprises its role as the Official ‘Festival-Time’ Partner of the Tribeca Film Festival® in New York City for the second year. Within this collaboration, IWC will again make a donation to Tribeca Film Institute®, the nonprofit affiliate of the Tribeca Film Festival, through an auction of a unique timepiece. The auction will take place on April 9, 2014, at the luxury timepiece auction house Antiquorum, with the entire proceeds supporting Tribeca Film Institute.
A ONE OF ONE TIMEPIECE, A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE
This year, IWC Schaffhausen will offer a unique edition of the Pilot’s Watch Spitfire Chronograph Edition “Tribeca Film Festival 2014” (Ref. IW387811). This reimagined version of a modern classic is equipped with the IWC-manufactured 89365 calibre, a self-winding mechanical movement water-resistant to 6 bar and featuring a 68-hour power reserve. Encased in gleaming 18-carat gold, the piece is elevated to red carpet worthy status. Like last year’s edition, the modernslate-colored dial is again punctuated by two luxurious Bordeaux subdials, evoking images of the legendary red carpet of Hollywood’s golden age juxtaposed vividly with the dramatic grandeur of the steely city of New York, which the Tribeca Film Festival calls home.
Mechanical chronograph movement – Self-winding – Date display – Stopwatch function with minutes and seconds – Flyback function – Small hacking seconds – Screw-in crown – Glass secured against displacement by drop in air pressure – Special case back bearing the logo of the Tribeca Film Festival with the engraving “Unique Piece” – Available exclusively at Auction from Antiquorum on April 9, 2014
